Acrylic on Canvas / Acrílico sobre tela
This painting marks my return to acrylics and took me quite some time to finish, because it required some new solutions not yet tried, like my own "special" method to paint the cubic stone floor and some other bits and ends. Anyway, I had promised myself to finish it before the New Year, so here it is. The scanner I used its not quite tuned so I expect to replace this photo with a better one in a couple of days. The Arch of the Viscount, with its tall buildings and somehow irregular walls, its one of the typical spots in the city of Moura, south of Portugal.
Este quadro, que marca o meu regresso ao acrílico, levou-me bastante tempo a terminar porque requereu o uso de algumas técnicas que eu ainda não tinha experimentado, incluindo o meu "próprio" método de representação da calçada de cubos. De qualquer forma, tinha prometido a mim próprio terminá-lo antes do final do ano, e aqui está. O scanner que usei não me parece estar muito afinado, portanto tenciono substituir esta foto por outra dentro de alguns dias. O Arco do Visconde, com os seus edifícios altos e as suas paredes irregulares, é um dos locais mais típicos da cidade de Moura, no Alentejo.
